Hi, I’m Paulina!
A full time adventurer with a day job, I’m a firm believer in the 5-9. I didn’t grow up in an outdoorsy family. Instead, the Santa Cruz Mountains in my backyard helped grow an intense love of climbing, backpacking and not showering.
I’m excited to share stories about what the outdoors truly looks like and protecting our wild spaces, and with a whole lot of spunk and sass.
Why Little Grunts?
Little Grunts: guttural noises of the minuscule variety, typically heard when completing big and tough rock climbing moves.
After graduating from college and getting a real big person job, I was ready to upgrade all of my outdoor gear. There was one problem: it was tough to find things being reviewed; not many blogs catered to petite women. Thus Little Grunts was born.
Based out of the Bay Area where space is a premium, I believe in having gear that’s multifunctional for both trails, streets and more. With the Sierra at my doorstep, you can find me napping at the crag or hiking slowly.
