Outdoor Research Uberlayer Giveaway

When it’s hot then it’s cold, and it’s sunny then cloudy, there’s no better insulation than the Outdoor Research Uberlayer Hoody. With enough insulation to keep you warm and breathable enough to dump excess heat, the Uberlayer is the perfect midlayer for those days when you’re not quite sure what the weather will bring. Snowboarding, climbing, cycling around the city… if you’re working up a sweat, this jacket has your back. This versatile jacket has captured my heart at Little Grunts and the hearts of the folks over at Backpacker and Outside Magazine. For my last giveaway in the #12DaysOfGiveaways, this baby can be yours!

From December 14 through December 21, I’m giving away one (1) Outdoor Research Uberlayer, available in both men’s and women’s sizes. The full review is available here. If you’re antsy to get your hands on one, buy through Outdoor Research, REI, Mountain Gear, or Amazon for $299.

What routes are the pictures from? First one looks like something in Grouse Slab. First V4 I sent is this awkward overhanging start to weird chimney move on the boulder right under your foot. And my first trad lead was on Jellyroll Arch around the corner from this. Good times. The second one looks like somewhere in JTree may be near Lost Horse area but that’s a shot in the dark.

Oh and for winter I’m excited to start every day being indecisive about whether I want to ski or snowboard. And snowshoeing.

Hit the nail on the head! Grouse Slab and Half Hit! I didn’t know there was a boulder problem there! The second one is on the second pitch of the Swift on Lost Horse. Nice eye for both :)

You can never have too many jackets, that’s what I think! This one sounds like it could fill a hole in my jacket collection. I don’t a very good insulating layer that breathes well, so the Uberlayer sounds perfect to me!
