I’ve reviewed the Arc’teryx Delta LT and I’ve tested the Mountain Hardwear Desna Grid Jacket. They both fill the same niche and are nearly identical in terms of materials, so which one is better?

The Mountain Hardwear Desna Grid Jacket is my new favorite lightweight fleece, dethroning the Arc’teryx Delta LT Jacket from best technical pajamas piece. Seriously, I loved the Delta LT, but I love this even more. Mountain Hardwear took things up a notch.
Insulation is an important part of any outdoorperson’s kit. The Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Down Jacket is an excellent lightweight addition to your pack.
I think the only time I’ve ever owned a vest in my life was for a costume. And it wasn’t even mine. It was my dad’s and it was big, ugly and frumpy. When Outdoor Research asked me to test out their new Cathode Vest, I said yes! A beautiful, but functional vest of my own? Heck yes.
True Life: I hoard insulation. Synthetic, natural, fleece, down, Primaloft… you name it, I will probably come up with an excuse as to why I want it. When I saw the Triple Aught Design Valkyrie LT Hoodie at their warehouse sale for just over 50% off, I had to have it. I’d been lusting after it since one in the perfect size slipped out of my hands at last year’s sale. This was my chance.
